Skin care products
A lot of people have tried creams for this and that, and been very disappointed with the results. Often the glamour of the TV ad does not live up to the reality of what the cream does.
In a Dermatologists office though, you’ll find that the creams have been carefully selected to complement the other treatments that are available.
Let’s start with something simple like Sun Screens. I think most people accept now-a-day’s that sunscreens’ do help prevent aging and help prevent skin cancer. You do still have to be careful which sunscreen you choose; there’s concern that some may contain toxic chemicals. If you go to a dermatologist’s office for your sun screen you can be confident that the sunscreens are safe and chosen specifically for your skin.

Antioxidants: If you have had irritation from using Retin-A or Stieva-A which is common, an antioxidant is the next best thing to help reverse sun damage in your skin.
Examples would be Vitamin C creams, Vitamin E and other antioxidants available for you in different formulations. In themselves they’ll only cause modest changes in the skin but if you have significant laser procedures done they can often extend the life of the effect of that laser procedure by several years so they represent good value in themselves.
Come and see us; talk to my staff, and we’ll talk about what skin care products might be most suitable for your skin.
